I currently make two kinds of paddles - the short, fur-covered "Brat" paddle, and a long tawse.
Small and devious, this paddle is such a brat!
These paddles can deliver three different sensations with one instrument! One side has an inset of soft rabbit fur. (It's stitched in, so it's not going ANYWHERE, no matter how hard you use it!) Start with a few soft strokes, letting the fur tease and tickle. Then....whump! Hitting with the fur side of the paddle gives a nice thuddy sensation. Deep, not too painful, but they'll know its there. Then, spin the paddle around in your hand. The other side is left flat and smooth. That's the stingy side! The leather has just enough give to deliver a sharp blow and loud smack! After a few more strikes, spin it around in your hand again, and use the fur to gently stroke the red marks.
Or, vary the sensation by choosing something other than fur on your paddle! What about some raised studs? Or perhaps some stingray leather?
Coming soon - more information on the dreaded long tawse! Of everything I sell, they leave the biggest, brightest marks. Ouch!
